Crystal Peña, CPM LM 

Crystal is a Certified Professional Midwife (CPM), licensed in Arizona since 2014, dedicated to providing holistic, evidence-informed prenatal, birth, and postpartum care for families choosing home birth. With a deep respect for client autonomy, she ensures that families are fully involved in every step of their pregnancy and birthing journey.  

 

Beyond attending births, Crystal is passionate about supporting the midwifery profession itself. She offers midwifery consultation services to fellow midwives, providing mentorship, clinical guidance, and business consulting to help them refine their skills, enhance client care, and navigate the complexities of midwifery practice. Her experience, leadership, and dedication to community birth advocacy make her a trusted resource for midwives seeking professional growth and support.  

 

Since beginning her midwifery training in 2010, Crystal has learned alongside some of Arizona’s most respected midwives. She remains active in the home birth and midwifery communities, currently serving on the board as founding member the Arizona Community Birth Coalition which is is doing vital legislation and advocacy work surrounding the midwifery laws in Arizona. 

 

When she’s not working with families or mentoring midwives, Crystal enjoys spending time with her husband, four boys, and granddaughters. She also loves playing board games, reading, traveling, and catching up on her favorite podcasts.  

 

Crystal considers it a tremendous honor to be invited into a family’s birth space and to support other midwives in their professional journeys. Her highest priority is to ensure that every midwife and every family she works with receives care and guidance that is holistic, respectful, safe, and empowering.
